yourself what do you want to do before deciding which tool is the most appropriate. If you want to buy only one product to introduce you to Flash creation, then we recommend Flare Text SWFlet. FlareWorks on the other end is for someone with some web design experience and basic understanding of animation principles. Look at the following descriptions to decide which product or products are best the type of Flash animations you'll be making.
Flare SWFletsTM are simple but powerful
applications for creating specific types of animations. They
are the easiest products to use. You can start with a
built-in template
and modify it, load a movie from our web site or start entirely from scratch. If you intend to mostly make banner ads, then the Flare Banner SWFlet is for you. If you mostly intend to make Text Effects, then the Flare Text SWFlet is for you. If you mostly plan on making GIF or JPG animations by sequencing images, then Flare Animation SWFlet is for you.
FlareExpressTM
is for someone that only wants to modify templates included in the installation, the free templates on our web site. FlareExpress can load any Flare (FLR) movie made with FlareWorks and allow you to modify object properties such as text, font, colors, or images but you cannot add new objects or effects to a movie. Nor can you create a movie entirely from scratch. If you intend to use Flare Products sparingly, or don't want to learn all the features of FlareWorks, then this is the tool for you.
FlareWorksTM is our complete Flash
authoring environment. If you intend to create many Flare
animations or to create more complex scenes with sound and
interactivity, then this tool is for you. It includes the
special animation tools; the Flare Clip-Art CreatorTM, Flare SequencerTM, Flare Movie ObjectsTM, and the Flare Multi-FlyerTM. FlareWorks can be used to
create Flare templates for FlareExpress customers or other FlareWorks developers. It can create animations the same as those produced by Flare SWFlets but in a more complex and flexible environment. Flare developers often purchase FlareExpress and the Flare SWFlets in addition to FlareWorks expecially if they or their production team intend on creating many of the same type of animation.
